About Our Program

Summit Salon Business Center is the largest salon and spa consulting company in the world. Award winning, top salon businesses across the country use their methods of building a successful business in beauty. Summit Salon Academy has exclusive access to teach these methods at our academy. We train in a combination of technical and soft skills that take professional beauty to the next level.

Summit Salon Academy Perrysburg’s student objectives for the Advanced Cosmetology Program:

Engage Creativity

Inspire the students with instruction that challenges and enhances their creative perspective. Students experience how to push creative boundaries like learning the principles of creating looks for photos and special events.

Become Business Minded

Coach students through Personal Development Meetings to track, plan and create critical clientele and business building habits using the Summit Salon Business Center’s award winning methods.

Sit for Your State Exam

Prepare students through extensive instruction and thorough preparation to pass the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology’s exam.

Since November of 2005 Summit Salon Academy, formally known as The Salon Professional Academy, has graduated hundreds of students that have successfully passed their state exam. We are very proud of our graduates and all their success in the beauty industry! From salon owners to national artists and local salon and spa beauty professionals, our alumni are amongst the most impressive in the nation.

Our 1800-hour Advanced Cosmetology Program and Ohio State Cosmetology License allow the flexibility and options to provide a wide range of services that both clients and employers will value. Once you gain experience, you can choose a direction of specialty in hair, skin or nails. If your goal is to own your own business, having knowledge in all of these fields brings the benefit of multiple revenue and leadership opportunities.

Is your program accredited?

Yes! Summit Salon Academy Perrysburg is accredited by The National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences (NACCAS). NACCAS is a nongovernmental agency recognized by the US Department of Education that evaluates participating schools to assure integrity toward its students and quality education. Accredited schools have freedom to develop their own curriculum and culture, as long as they conform to NACCAS’s common set of standards.

How can I pay for school?

There are a variety of options available to you! Financial aid is available to those who qualify. You can learn more about financial aid options available to you, including federal grants and loans! Plus, make sure to ask us about our pay as you go plan, that makes it possible to add beauty school to your budget.

How long does the program take to complete?

As a full-time program, it’s possible to complete this program in as little as 53 to 54 weeks, so a little over a year. There is a lot to learn, as this 1800-hour program covers an extensive education in hair, skin, and nails, while our other programs only focus on skin or nails.

Advanced Esthetics

You can help others feel comfortable with their own skin. An esthetics license gives you a specialized focus in skin care only. Learn how to apply facials, perform waxes, and even apply makeup in this program!
