Why We’re Different
Summit Salon Academy Perrysburg is Directed by experienced salon professionals and business owners Jessica Johnson and Jennifer OβConnor. Our educators here at the Summit Salon Academy Perrysburg are highly skilled and trained at what they do, but theyβre also very passionate. One important focus is ensuring that each student gets that one-on-one time with our educators.
As one of the areaβs leading beauty schools, Summit Salon Academy focuses on providing students with the necessary skill set to prepare them for a successful future. Summit Salon Academy utilizes the Summit SalonTM performance-based system to teach future service providers how to provide an exceptional guest experience and enhance their earning potential.
The Academy marries this performance-based methodology with technical training to provide the most innovative and advanced cosmetology school experience available in North America.
There is a network of 3,500 Summit Salons throughout North America that are anxious to recruit these graduates. Summit Salon Academy is the area’s only Redken Premier School, Dermalogica, and NovaLash Partnership School. It is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission Of Career Arts & Sciences.
Summit Salon Academy Perrysburg is located in Perrysburg, Ohio, only 15 minutes from Toledo, Ohio.
About The Directors
Jessica Johnson and Jennifer OβConnor have been in the beauty industry since 1996 and are the co-owners of Soto Signature Salon and Spa in Perrysburg, Ohio. In 2016 the two were excited to announce they assumed leadership as Directors of the Summit Salon Academy in Perrysburg. They have had the privilege of being mentored by Denise Soto, the founder of Summit Salon Academy, formerly known as The Salon Professional Academy, founded in 2005. They share a strong passion for the salon, spa and cosmetology school businesses, as well as emerging trends in the beauty industry.
Throughout the course of their careers Jessica and Jennifer have traveled all over the country. The two are licensed advanced cosmetologists and educators. They travel to New York City, Chicago, Las Vegas, Vancouver, and Los Angeles creating looks for Fashion Weekβs renowned designer fashion shows, styling the hair for models and magazines year-round.
OβConnor and Johnson have been inspiring other hairstylists by sharing their expertise for over a decade. Some well-known certifications, associations and educational events include the Redken Color, Design and Finishing Certifications, Great Lengths and Hair Dreams Extension certifications, Certified NovaLash Trainer, Redken Artist, Tearsheet Artist and Editorial Team Member, Bumble and Bumble Design Studio and Network Educator. Along with graduating from multiple Summit Salon Business Courses, Milady, and Pivot Point Instructors courses. They both are contributing members of the Ohio Association of Cosmetology Schools and the American Association of Cosmetology Schools or AACS.
