About the Directors

Jessica Johnson and Jennifer O’Connor are sisters, female business owners, and lifelong beauty professionals who have been part of the industry since 1996. As co-owners of Soto Signature Salon & Spa and Directors of Summit Salon Academy Perrysburg, they have built their careers around education, mentorship, and helping others succeed.

In 2016, Jessica and Jennifer proudly assumed leadership of Summit Salon Academy Perrysburg. Having been mentored by Denise Soto, founder of Summit Salon Academy (formerly The Salon Professional Academy), they carry forward a strong commitment to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel seen, encouraged, and prepared for real-world success.

Throughout their careers, they have worked behind the chair, educated fellow professionals, and collaborated within the beauty industry across the country – but their greatest passion has always been mentoring local talent. Over the years, they have guided and inspired countless stylists, estheticians, and beauty professionals throughout the region, watching many go on to build thriving careers and businesses of their own.

As licensed advanced cosmetologists and educators, Jessica and Jennifer bring real salon experience into the classroom every day. Their goal is simple: to help students build confidence, master their craft, and graduate ready to succeed – not just pass state boards.

At Summit Salon Academy, we believe beauty education is about more than learning skills – it’s about building confidence, character, and a career you can be proud of. As sisters, educators, and business owners, Jessica and Jennifer are deeply committed to creating a place where students feel supported, families feel confident, and future professionals are empowered to succeed long after graduation.
